AveYou.Com Haul/Review + Barielle Elle's Spell

I recently ordered some polish from a site I just found out about...aveyou.com! They sell a variety of beauty products but the only nail polishes they sell are OPI, Essie, and Spa Ritual I believe. Here's what I picked up!


It came wrapped inside this cute reusable bag which is a really nice touch I think.

Overall my experience with the site was awesome and I would recommend them. However, they sell polishes at retail price. Though they always have a 15% off code (five) and shipping is only 5$ and 1$ if your order is over 50$. Another plus despite the price not being discount, is that the OPI bottles don't have those scratch things (filed off serial numbers) and also they have both labels on the bottom of the bottle.

Like I said, shipping was fast and they have a really good selection of the brands they do carry! Can't wait to try all these beauties :)

Really pretty flakies that are a cheaper dupe for one of the Nfu Oh Flakies I believe. A little to sheer to wear on its own IMO, but I've gotten a lot of use out of it. I want to try it over one of the OPI texas jellies next!

I hope everyone who is celebrating is having an AWESOME christmas! I'm waiting for my extended family to get here so I thought I'd post my Christmas mani and some goodies santa left for me :D

I remember when I first got this. Ulta was doing that thing where you spend 17$ you get a free bottle, but the bottle has to be one of the exclusives. They were completely wiped out of the purple and red which I was so upset about because I was in my hating gold phase. So I got Dazzled By Gold, hating it but it turns out it is pretty much my favorite gold ever now! 2 easy coats for me, people with longer nails may need 3 though. Just look at the picture...it says what I can't haha

Also, I got $OPI Only Gold for Me as an Xmas gift so I decided to put it on top of my thumbs this morning!

2 coats. Pre-Cleanup (ew, I know) Shady Sun. Definitely my favorite from the Swiss Collection!

Purple-ish Pinky Panic and Tiny Haul

This is 3 coats of China Glaze's Neon, "Purple Panic" which is totally photographing as a complete pink. In reality it is a darker purple fuchsia color. These pictures are shown with topcoat, because since its a neon this color dries satiny. BUT this had incredible dry time which was awesome.

4 days wear and you can tell there is some chipping happening



This is a good neon if you want to try some neon color, but not the ones that you need to shield your eyes to look at :) It isnt really quite as neon as all of my other china glaze neons.

Overall I really like it.

HAULLLLLL. I had a Sally's coupon so I went and picked up some random china glazes that I had been wanting. The lady who worked there really knew her stuff which was cool because usually when I go places the workers dont really know anything haha. She was trying to convince me that Finger Paints wear a lot longer then china glaze, but FP didnt have any neons so I went for the CG's.

-Stripe Rite in plain ol' white.

Review- AMAZON.COM

With all the drama thats been going on with OPI and all of the etailers, I know a lot of people have been wondering about ordering nail polish from Amazon. (thought I heard that OPI was back up on TD? I dont know) I thought "hey why not" and decided to order a few.

The polishes were around 4$ each (the essie was less) and shipping was about 2-3$ combined. They arrived on time and were delivered through USPS..here is what they came in:


The inside was lined with bubblewrap and each polish was wrapped up in bubblewrap like a little present :D So good shipping...


But to the real question...are these legit OPI's? OPI says (and they're right) that the only true way to tell is by testing the formula...but from what I can tell by appearance I think these are real. Lets take a look!


All letters printed were even and in correct font. mL and Fl were correct too.



Label is the right colors and there were 2. Also the inside of the brush had all the right groove things.



Only flaw being they have those marks from filed off barcodes, much like TD bottles have been known to sport...This bothers me slightly but not enought to really care. I picked this one because the filing is most noticeable, on the other two you can still read the barcode if you squint haha.

OVERALL: my experience with amazon.com was good. They arrived on time and in good condition and it was what I ordered. I would consider ordering again (which is big for me because I hate ordering things online). If etailers continue to be unable to sell OPI, this may be a good option for you.

Ulta is having their usual buy 2 get 1 free OPI so of course I went over to grab some haha. I'm pretty sure the sale is still going on, but I'm not 100% positive. Also they are having great sales on ulta brand things, so I nabbed a Ulta Matte Topcoat. Onto the pics!:D

Lots of colors from 2009's Spain Collection, I know. These were all colors that I was having mad lemmings for all year but never got around to getting. My dad didnt get it because to him the first 4 look exactly the same lol...he just doesnt get it.



I'm a little (okay, A LOT) late on the whole matte thing. Seeing the swatches I just never really wanted to spend the money on them and when Essie came out with matte about you I still didnt feel like spending the money haha. But I found this little beauty and it was only 2$. Let me Repeat: TWO DOLLARS! Which is pretty good compared to 10$ for matte about you.



This is CoverGirl's City Lights, a sparkle top coat. My local grocery store (which has a really good polish selection considering its a food store) was having a sale and CoverGirls were only .94 cents. I would have bought a lot more since it was so cheap but they had been pretty picked through and no good colors were left :( But I am really happy with this one :D
